5 - Create pages for your website

Create Pages for static content, that is, pages that you want to remain in the same place on your website. Pages are useful for author info, contact details, listings of books published or links to your writing online. (Check links to external sites regularly, the internet is a changeable thing.) Links to each page will appear in the main menu of your website. Make sure the titles of your pages are short and logical, to help visitors easily find what they’re looking for. Use the content of the Pages section of the Writer Website template for the three most important pages on a writer’s website: About Me, Contact Me, and My Writing.

You can add pages for content that is unlikely to change often. They will appear on your blog as links on the top and along the left side.
  1. In the left menu, click Pages.
  2. Click on New page.
  3. Enter a title for the page (for example, About the Author) in the small box at the top.
  4. Enter the content of the page in the large box using what you have already written in the Pages section of the Writer Website template.
To add an author photo at a later stage, click on Pages from the main Blogger menu.
  1. Under the title of the page you want to rewrite, click Edit. The option will appear when you hover your mouse pointer over the page title.
  2. Click on the photo icon in the menu bar at the top of the content box.
  3. Click on Choose files in the pop-up box, and select your author photo. Click Open, then Add selected.
  4. You can change the layout of your photo by clicking on it and choosing one of the options (either its size or where it appears on the page).
You can also delete a page. Under the title of the page you want to rewrite, click Delete, and the page will be removed from your website.
